Why YOU Need The Flood Hawk FH-200 Flood Protector?
Las the saying goes "They don't make them like they use to" holds true with water heaters. New water heaters have an average life of five to ten years. Over time the tanks and fittings will corrode and can leak hundreds of gallons of water in a very short time. The damage can be catastrophic especially in a multi-story building.
How Does It Work?
The FH-200 is an actuator (battery powered gear motor ) connected to your water valve. The FH-200's moisture sensor is placed on the floor. At the first sign of moisture the sensor activates the gear motor which rotates your valve closed turning OFF the water to your water heater automatically.
What Happens To The Water In The Water Heater?
The water will remain in the water heater in most cases. If a leak occurs at one of the top fittings, all the water will remain in the heater. If a leak occurs at the bottom of the tank, once the valve is closed an air lock is created. Because air cannot enter the top of the heater, the water is vacuum locked in the tank and cannot leak out the bottom.
Easy 10 Minute Installation
The FH-200 installs on gate, globe, and ball valves. No special tools, plumber or plumbing work is necessary. Simply remove the handle off your valve and attach the connector with the supplied allen key.
